Growise Growing Bags are specially recommended for growing tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, aubergines, melons, courgettes and strawberries. The growing bag contains all essential plant nutrients to give salad crops the best possible start and provides protection from soil borne diseases. At the end of the growing season, the contents of the bag may be used as a soil conditioner in the garden.

It is not recommended to reuse the contents for growing in containers.

Ideal for use:

  • Greenhouse or patios
  • Fruit and Vegetable
  • Indoor and Outdoor

Make drainage slits in the side of the bag to allow run-off of excess water.
Shake the bag to ensure that the contents are distributed evenly through the whole length of the bag. For large plants such as tomatoes, courgettes, cucumbers, marrows and melons

Number of plants per planter:

Two plants per bag will give the best results.

Cut two evenly spaced circles for planting or large crosses through which the plants can be planted into the bag. For strawberries cut up to six evenly spaced planting positions. Before planting ensure that the compost in the bag is sufficiently moist. Scoop out a hole in the compost large enough to accommodate the roots of the young plant and carefully insert one plant into each hole.

Precaution:

Take care to avoid any root damage. For best results with tomatoes, delay planting until the first flower is formed. As the plants develops, train them for maximum light penetration and air circulation.
