Miracle Gro All Purpose Growing Compost
Why is it so good?
Miracle Gro is a specially formulated blend of premium compost and Miracle-Gro Plant Food gives better blooms and healthier plants.
Enriched with Miracle Gro Plant Food – feeds for 3 months.
Contains 40% more nutrients than ordinary multipurpose compost.
Ideal for use:

Instructions for use
Hanging baskets:
Water the plants well before starting.
Line the basket, if required, with moss or other liner.
Half fill the basket with Miracle-Gro All Purpose Compost and plant trailing plants through the sides of the basket.
Fill the rest of the basket with Miracle-Gro All Purpose compost.
Plant more trailing plants around the edges and upright plants in centre.
Firm in lightly as you go. Water thoroughly and keep in a sheltered area until the plants are established and not at risk
from frost.
Planting out:
Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball.
Position the plant and fill with a mixture of 50% soil and 50% Miracle-Gro All
Purpose Compost.
Firm around the base and water thoroughly.
Where to use
Planting in beds & borders
Dispose of all last year’s compost on a compost heap or flower beds.
Wash containers thoroughly.
Fill your pots and containers with Miracle-Gro All Purpose Compost.
Add plants, firm lightly and water thoroughly.
Outdoor:
- Water the plant thoroughly.
- Place a layer of Miracle-Gro All Purpose Compost in the base of the new pot.
- Gently tap out the plant from the old pot and place in the centre of the new one.
- Fill the space around the root ball, ensuring that the compost level is the same as it was originally and firm gently.
Water the plant well.
Indoor:
Most established plants should be re-potted once a year, normally in late Spring. This will give their roots room to grow and will help the plant thrive.
Choose a new container that is 20-25% bigger than the previous one.
- Water the plant thoroughly.
- Place a layer of Miracle-Gro All Purpose Compost in the base of the new pot.
- Gently tap out the plant from the old pot and place in the centre of the new one.
- Fill the space around the root ball, ensuring that the compost level is the same as it was originally and firm gently.
- Water the plant well.
Pots and containers:
It’s time to repot when:
- The plant is overgrown and has become “root bound” (roots are densely wrapped in a horizontal direction).
- Roots are growing out of the drainage holes.
- The plant’s lower leaves turn yellow or drop off.
- The compost is faded or crusty.
