For the eighth consecutive year, Bord na Móna Growise was once again the proud sponsor of compost and bark at Bloom 2014.
Bord na Móna Growise teamed up with Kildare Growers and The Children’s Medical and Research Foundation, Crumlin, to create a Charity Garden at the festival in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.
The garden, designed by Anthony Ryan of Hayes Ryan Landscape Architecture, won a Silver Medal in the Large Garden category. Situated in a prime location, the design featured a contemporary garden incorporating the concept of a refuge/retreat to escape the often difficult daily grind that patients face. The initiative helped to raise awareness and encourage donations to The Children’s Medical and Research Foundation, Crumlin.
Bord na Móna Growise was delighted to give away tickets to Bloom to three lucky winners, with the Grand Prize winner receiving festival tickets along with an overnight stay at the Ashling Hotel, Dublin.
