The Polaris World project is to build a series of nine luxury golf resorts in the Murcia area of Spain. Each resort is built around a “Jack Nicklaus” golf course, of which six are complete, forming the “Jack Nicklaus Trail”. In order to ensure their status as a luxury golf resort, the best greens were essential.
In 2009, Bord na Móna supplied this development with fine grade peat moss in bulk.
In order to ensure the long term success of this major development, a high quality peat moss was required. The key features and benefits of Irish peat moss in these areas of high temperature and with water of high salt levels provide a level of confidence to the architects that plans will have the best possible chance to succeed.
